A:

Our registration was designed by GM’s Supplier Diversity team in conjunction with members of the Purchasing organization. The registration form provides all of the necessary information needed in order to determine if there may be a matching opportunity for your company.

A:

Completed registrations are reviewed and forwarded to the applicable function, depending on the product or service of the supplier. While your firm may have a capable skillset, there may be contractual obligations, sourcing strategies, etcetra, that may postpone bidding opportunities at the current time. The supplier will receive a response on whether there is a need for their product or service within 45 days.

A:

Please allow at least 45 days from the time the registration is downloaded for your company's information to reach the appropriate buyer and receive their feedback.

A:

Please be patient. We make every effort to respond to all inquiries. It is extremely important to include an email address in your initial registration. If one is not included, please send an e-mail to supplierdiversity@gm.com as a follow-up.

The Buyer will instruct you on what he/she needs.

  • Only send; in a timely manner; information that the buyer request
  • Large e-mails will often be blocked by the GM firewall, so please save your large presentations as PDF, with a minimal number of photos.
  • Always include a link to your website, your mobile phone number, and e-mail address in every correspondence.
  • Be patient with your follow-up communications. Daily voice or e-mail messages will add to the Buyers and Diversity Program Managers’ extremely busy day, causing further delay in assessing your registration form.
